haha it's the first time I'm posting and it's after I graduate how retarded is that ._. haha. but I just felt random. and boreddddddd D: life is damn screwed. my exams are screwed. and PW is the most retarded thing on earth. and it's such a waste of time ): blehs.

PW is more retarded than the copper (II) sulphate that jumped into the Orchard Road flood drain in the middle of Timbuktu (which in case you don't know, is in Hawaii) then turned into a super disgusting orangy purplish Minute Maid Pulpy before it decided it was stupid and resigned itself to a drastic change into an eraser that wanted to change the world into a giant flower vase to hold everyone's cushions in a hexagon.

Hello everyone! This blog is almost 3 years old and still going strong! We've to keep it alive! So I'm going to talk about the greatest event on the planet that is the World Cup! I'm sorry to say that Germany just lost to Serbia! I'm very disappointed because I betted on the Germans! You see, I'm taking part in this predictor challenge and naturally I thought Germany would win as easily as they creamed Australia the other day. Also, I have Lahm in my fantasy football team, and any goal conceded by Germany will lose me 2 points. A clean sheet will earn me 6. So of course I want Germany to win!

I think the World Cup is very exciting so far! I want to see more red cards and own goals and upsets! To hell with that predictor game already!

How about you guys? Does anyone here follow the World Cup? What do you think of it so far? As for me, I am already looking forward to the next one! We'll be 21 years old then! Old enough to vote! Isn't that awesome? Haha!!!

ahh 4d I really miss you all alot. D: it has been long since we last met. (although I saw some of you when we went back to see mrs goh.) but its like I think its difficult to call back all the 4diligence people for a proper gathering again. since everyone is busy in their own way and we hardly contact one another.

I'm feeling like this because I know I miss 4D. I'm currently cursing myself for not loving 4diligence much more when I was still sitting inside the yellow classroom. ahh what crap am I talking. the fact is that I dont even see yeeching, xuejun, xuecong, chengcen, shiya, mag, jiaxin, jiamin etc often even when we are in the same school. so how sad is this getting. oh crap. I miss sitting behind the classroom laughing at xiyuan's funny comments. getting punished by mrs tan for not doing chem tys (omg I'm crazy), and also not forgetting the experience in 4hope's classroom for two weeks plus the fun we had at fiesta, during prom and so on. 3d express train AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. freak.

lets go out one day soon okay. at least we can have a dinner together. just a simple one will do. and perhaps. two hours is enough.

I know ms foo I didn't reply your LET'S GO HAVE A MOVIE SCREENING THING AT NGEE ANN POLY on 23rd at 7pm. That's next Friday! What kind of movie screening is it ah, can we just go to your school to have lunch hahaha since it's open to everyone.

Anyway, biology has never been so gross ohmygoodness. One chapter of bio is as much as one complete THEME of the olevel syllabus. I'm at enzymes going into DNA and I feel like it's half the olevel syllabus I'm mugging. AND HELLO, it's what Term 2 week I don't know what, and I already had to clear my file thrice. Last time my file lasted for terms, now it's exploding everyday.

Mole concept is disgusting too when was chemistry ever so tough.

I have no comments about physics HAHAH YOU PEOPLE WHO TAKE IT GOOD LUCK :D

And to the only girl who's going to poly in 4d, UH HAVE FUN MAN, show us all the cute poly guys OKAY OKAY GO ADD THEM ON FB SO WE CAN SEE HEHEEHHAHAHA :D

Anyway, I miss you guys a lot. Like, a lot. We're spread all over Singapore now it's SO TOUGH TO MEET UP. We've had so much memories together it's not possible to let anything go.

Mrs Goh used to tell us as often as she could how it was the total TOTAL last lap ever and now that it's over I can't help but look back all the time. There's this amazing class-ness in 4d that makes me think of 4d as the bestest class ever without hesitation. Maybe it's because we were so united in meanness we kinda chased our math teacher away, or maybe it's because our class deco for National Day was always so awesome we totally owned the competition. But maybe it's just because.

Just because, and that encapsulates a whole spectrum of memories that can never be forgotten, even when we're as far as bukit timah is from marina bay, even when we move on or even when we find new people. Just because, 4d is 39 strong and we will be, ever.

Even when the earth keeps spinning and we grow further apart, just remember, just because.

To 4D'09: SN visit tmr

1. We will be meeting at 6 pm at the holding site tmr. For those who can make it earlier, please feel free to do so, but 6pm will be our official class time. We will keep in contact via phone. (NEW INFO: I understand some of us end school rather early, please kindly reach there early so that you can see Mrs Goh, Mrs Goh said she might not be free at around 5. But for those who ends school late (like me), I guess we just have to rush there and try our luck :/)

2. Mrs Goh already knows that we will be coming along and will be expecting us tmr. Please go and say HI to her and send her best wishes :) We have alrd prepared a small token to her (OK, this is like a repetition of the first one, for those who are curious, Xiyuan is helping us make the token. 3. I am thinking of having dinner after visit tmr, so it will be a class gathering cum SN visit (Suggestion: Let's go eat New York New York at AMK Hub! LOL)

Mrs Tan has alrd replied that Mrs Goh may not be available on mon, but nvm, Abi suggested that we can just have a mini class outing and go visit all our teachers again! Of course, we have alrd prepared some token of thanks to Mrs Goh, so that we can pass them on to Mrs Goh

Hi, 4 dee!

I guess everyone will have heard by now that our dearest Mrs Goh will be leaving at 12 march, which is next week and that we are planning to visit Mrs Goh for the last time, at St Nicks, on Monday, 8 March.

I understand that most of us end school rather late on Monday, therefore, we can only reach st nicks at around 6.30 pm. I have already contacted Mrs Christina Tan on this matter and she said she will see how and reply me soon. If it is not possible on Monday, be prepared of a change of day any time.

That's all I have to report, if there is any changes in this plan, I will update the blog immediately.

I MISS EVERYONE OF YOU, SERIOUS! Well, most of you are in the same school, so u will see each other everyday right? (yes, you do know which school I am talking about, no tinge of jeolousy here lah) For those who do not know, I am in NJ now, together with Yujia. And we are like the only 2 people from 4 dee in NJ. Haiz! I want to be with 4dee again. All of you have been my classmates for at least 2 years, and some even 3 or 4!

Well, let's have a class outing like every year during the hols. We can meet up frequently to see how each other us.

Okay there are now 2 choices okay, I've ruled out BTP because apparently the whole world is broke and don't want to spend money. I'll still call the paintball people tomorrow okay, see how many can play at once, then we can decide.

We can either go to Pasir Ris Park or someone (Joey/ Miss tay) 's house. Either way we're going to do the same things. Cycling might not be too possible because not everyone can cycle (yes I'm not kidding,) so I think we should just play some random games there. DON'T WORRYS, I'LL THINK OF GOOD GAMES, any suggestions please just tell me okay, if not I'm just going to use the stupid games that my cousins organise during random family gatherings. They are fun. HAHAHA.

4D 2010 gathering

ANYWAY AGAIN (and again) HAHAHHA GATHERING. This is going to be the total last one before we are absorbed into our new JC lives and are really really spun around 360degrees at the speed of light (not rae,) so please try your best to make it please(:

I'm hoping we'll all be in Singapore and free on the 27th, since we have school the next day, so tentatively it's 27 Jan.

So we've got 3 suggestions so far!

1) Go to someone's house to stone/ wait for The SMS and sing KARAOKE :D hahahha

As for someone's house, I was thinkinggggggggg uhmmmmmm miss tayyyyyyyy but very badddddd always ask her so someone else please hahhaha. Let us sing madly into the night and neighbours won't complain those type. :D (actually light I'm thinking of you.)

Oh wow now I remember the days when searching KFC ECP would give us our blog url. Now searching LAI KAIROUULIESSS does the same too! We've even invited random people to tag! Hahaha. So anyway, we don't really appretiate the cold water being poured on us one day after the release of olevel results. (At least, I don't.) So don't tag anymore okay random ppl, we're really proud of ourselves and it's for more than one reason.

Jumping to conclusions isn't very nice, as can be seen from the horrble kpop year! (in abi's comparison hee.) But since the previous post does give a misleading impression, let's write a thank you post!

Of course we thank SG EDUCATION SYSTEM HAHAHA. Yes we do, it brought us to SN, it brought the teachers to SN and now SNGS is one of the top schools in SG. As much as social studies lesson is pretty boring (but mr tan was good. yes,) we really appretiate the huge emphasis on academic results. In a morbid way, it spurred us on to do even better. Bilingualism, as we learn in SS and in my opinion, is the best part of SG education. As the world grows smaller (Bk2 Chpt2: Globalisation) the ability to communicate is becoming a pivotal skill. You have no idea how important scoring a1 for english is for everyone in the world.

And also, these are the teachers that we really want to thank:

Mrs Dahl our form teacher for making english lesson so enjoyable. We'll miss your life stories!

Mrs Teo who took us for our english lessons for awhile and told us about the trauma of giving birth.

Zhang laoshi who scared me so much I got a b3 and Carol got an A2 for HCL. THANK YOU ZHANG LAOSHI!

Miss Choo our secondary 3 mathematics teacher who tolerated with us and always gave her best even when we didn't give ours.

Mr Gan our secondary 3 physics teacher who used to stab himself with a wooden ruler and taught us electricity while linking to the energizer advertisement. (the one with the jumping rabbit.)

Mrs Ong our wonderful secondary 4 physics teacher who was alwaysss so patient.

Mrs Tan Lee Lee our biology teacher who never got angry whatever we did, and stayed so strong throughout the 2 long years.

Mr Hoo and Mr Liew the chemistry teachers in secondary 3 whose lessons were always funny. And Mrs Tan Siew Kim! :D The one the only amazing-est teacher who brings SK-11 to wake us up in class, and lets us eat sweets/ dried mangoes to explain exothermic reactions!

Mrs Sherwood the elective geography/ pure geography teacher. Who went through so much trouble to make sure that we remembered how to give specific examples when answering lorms questions, who was so passionate about marking our prelim papers her hand swell, but yet carried on to use her left hand to mark.

Mrs Lily Tan! Who never gave up on our history even when we seemed to be epicly failing the subject. She also has a cool screen saver that distracted the class oh so slightly(:

Mr Seth Tan our SS teacher who taught who-knows-how-many classes he once contemplated recording his lessons and playing the videos during lesson. Social studies = Scoring subject.

Mrs Goh for being motivating everytime she spoke to us. She spoke about creating our own story and running the last lap, and before the olevel papers she told us about the 2 senarios. Ske kept our spirits high and hopes up as we sat for the papers.

Everyone in 4D, because it wouldn't be the same without all of you. Thank you for being there, for not skipping class in all altruism, for always lending a hand, for the words of encouragement..Thank you for being part of 4 Diligence 2009. This we will never forget.

Everyone else who helped us in one way or another. Everyone who's part of the SN family.

AND. Well I wonder whoooo next.

MS REGINA TAY/ MRS OON HAHAHA. For what, sometimes I don't know how to summarise it, thank you for being our maths teacher, our pillar of support, the source of the 4D fighting spirit. It's not easy to say why we love miss tay so much. When we sit through her lessons and listen to her speeches positively flaming with fiery passion, and we look into her eyes or remember the time she almost cried when saying good luck to us before olevels, we know, we really know, she loves us too.

(btw kairou didn't write the previous post so again, don't jump to the conclusion that she's being conceited. We're truly proud of us, is all.)

Sometimes we will think back, and I think one day we will realise that the best of our memories don't lie within. We'll find them safe in the hearts of people who have loved us, people we have loved.

4Dee ECP KFC Day!

Actually the main point of the day is Wenyi's super sweet misadventure at ECP HAHAHA.

SOOOOO,

Wenyi all because she's too prettayye

We had lunch at ECP KFC near the Big Splash after a reallyyy long walk to it from KEMBANGAN MRT (excluding weishan and joey, they met us in ECP itself.) After lunch and a lot of talking to digest our fried food, we decided to go find a bike rental stall to (duh) rent a bike and cycle! :D

UNFORTUNATELY, there were NO bike rental stalls near KFC D: So we were a little stranded until someone came up with the idea to stop some cyclists to ask which way to the nearest bike rental stall. Initially, XXK was supposed to be the one asking, but something else happened! Hahaha.

So there were 3 (male) cyclists in traffic light t-shirt colours riding in our direction, but when they neared XXK didn't say anything (later I found out it was because she expected me uh abigail to ask instead.) BUT THEN! Wenyi suddenly started with a,

"eh.."

AND YOU COULD SEE IT IN SLOW MOTION. (too bad i didn't take pictures.)

They all slowed downnnnn and turned arounddddd to look at ong wen yi and waited for her to continue. Of course in all grace she asked them for directions to the nearest bike rental stall only to find out that THEY DIDN'T KNOW D:

YET! It didn't end there!

We started in the direction of MacDonalds since we knew there definitely was a bike rental stall as the 3 traffic light cyclists continued their way. It was loads of fun walking. That was an unnecessary statement, because the next moment you see the guy in (i forgot what colour! is it red?) turn and cycle back to speak to wenyi,

Just to tell her there is actually a bike rental stall that just opened from near KFC, and we could go there as well~

P.S. Yknow wenyi i really love you to bits hahaha. Let's forget this ever happened when this post goes into archives. That's in a month. In the meantime keep your hairstyle forever and keep wearing contacts because you do look really pretty :D

OKAY TENTATIVELY it's 29th dec? or 26th to 30th dec, anytime around then. We've been asking Miss Tay, Joey and Jiamin/xin because it doesn't make alot of sense. Maybe we should ask xxk and sixian to open their houses too? since they live near the school and about less than half the class would be able to attend. not too big a crowd.

Xiyuan suggests we go to ECP to cycle and have KFC for lunch! Xiyuan the great also says KFC is a must so yup here's what I think.

At 1100hrs,
We meet at East Coast Park MacDonalds.
Okay we're meeting at Macdonalds only because KFC is pretty hard to find (but that's just me thinking) so this is subjective. Also I can't find a proper ECP map on their official site, anyone has it please upload here. (Once we have that we can go straight to KFC to meet.)

Then at 1120hrs we make our way to KFC for lunch. Anyone later than that find your own way to KFC so nobody's held back. (Don't worry we'll wait for you to have lunch before we set off again.)

Then we go cycling/ roller blading! And we go mad for abit.
And we take pretty pictures and talk about stuff, keep the faith and tada! :D

Amidst of all the craziness during prom, a teacher gave us this bag of scarves plus a note from the alumnae plus our alumnae membership card!!!!! So interesting right? But apparently, someone forgot to give it out-.-
And somehow, it ended up in my hotel room!!!!!! So we sort of abandoned the huge bag of scarves and notes there (hope u all dun mind) and we saved your cards!!! The cards are kept by sixian and she'll be giving them out when we receive our results. Hopefully she'll rmb and hopefully I'll rmb to remind her...
Oh and in the note, it tells us to go to the alumnae website which can be found from our sch website. Since we're officially alumnae, we can log in!!!! We're supposed to log in with our user id which is on the card and you all don't have ur cards!! great. anyway the password is ur NRIC/FIN no. When you're logged in, just update your info etc so they can contact you.

hello!!! as there hasn't been a post for 1 month, let me revive this blog by posting 2 videos of the awesome lubiantsev!!!!

ahhhHHH!!!! he's an effing genius AND he has the looks too!!! i admit i wanted to see more of his face than his fingers, haha! i'm currently learning the second song of the second video (not that i'm giving up rach 3, but in such a weakened state (had fever for 4 days) it's inadvisable to play such a violent song). and no, the second song of the second video (chopin's etude op. 25 no. 12 by the way) is not violent! it's actually not as difficult as it sounds. well, as i say, if i can play it, it's not difficult!

1. Assume that the exam will be carried out on Thursday 25 June even if MOE should declare an extra week of school closure. If there is any change of date, it will be announced on the school website, so everyone is to check the school website regularly for updates.

2. Everyone is to have her thermometer with her when she reports for the oral exam.

3. If anyone has been to an H1N1-affected country anytime between 18 and 24 June inclusive, she is NOT ALLOWED to report for the exam but will have a make-up exam during Term 3.
H1N1-affected countries as of now are (in alphabetical order):
Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, UK, USA.

The Big Area of Grey in our lives

We used to want to become superman and save the world, but then we settled for being a normal person and excelled in, well, being human. We used to hope for the best too, but as times passed we started preparing for the worst. And we also used to think the world was only Black or White, but lately we realized there was this new colour called Grey, which was not either, but both together.

The Big Area of Grey in our lives grows larger everyday, every second - every moment we learn something new, every time something or some people changes, and our hopes get dashed. Snow would fall like a flurry of small hands, but after the lovely snow comes the hailstones.

No i did not bring this up to let everyone start pondering about philosophies in life, i think we do that enough in Chinese Lit and even Science. No, but i brought this up so that when you read this, you would realize that even when something horrible seems to have happened to you, it may not be that bad after all. Similarly, when everything seems to be going well, don't ever let your guard down.

Take the results that we are getting now, for an instance. I assure you they are definitely not true reflections of our olevel certificate. Our olevel certificate would be the result of whatever efforts we would have made in the next few months, be it sufficient or insufficient, our best, or not our best.

1) memorising stuff is the shits, man!

3) bio notes exceed a hundred slides, which ain't good news at all.

haha im blogging to 4dee on 3dee's blog. but nvm it's good to remember our past, after all, BUILDING ON PAST FAILURES RMB! (wow omg i can still rmb tt :D)

anyway yay we completed the motivational workshop and i believe we are more motivated than before because we all have goals and dreams. and through the ws i got to know some of us better (like for e.g. yufei wants to open a polaroid camera factory which is an awesome thing.)

so all the way 4dee, it may seem like a long way off (olevels i mean) but -ahem- according to stressing results we only have about 4mths more, 2 weeks for each subject, 1 week for 1 year's worth of work.

it's going to be tough, much much worse than now i envision, but i believe we can do it. (and for the sake of a streak of egocentricity,) there's a reason we're in the best class ever.

i know, that as long as you're a SN sec4 girl who has understood what the SN spirit is like, or has gone through more than a year of upper sec horrific SN torture, olevels is going to be the best thing that has ever happened to you.

so 4dee, we can do it! jiayou, all the way and never ever give up.

heyyyyyyy yo 4deeeee and the extremely abandoned class blog.

i was thinking about olevels, contemplating my next course of action and pondering about how much more effort i ought to put into my studies, and then i remembered what mrs goh said today.

a graduated girl told her,

you know why i could hold on till the end? it was because my class and i, we all hung on together, if someone were to fall we'll pick her up. we just kept holding on and on until it was all over.

without them i would have died.

instead of being extremely cynical like i always am of such motivational pep talks, i actually listened, i understood, and i felt that i might just understand how it would feel to be holding on together for one last time, one last paper.

i was thinking so hard abt tt you could call me -ahem- (chim word i just learnt from chim senior ahead) DISCOMBOBULATED and astounded, until some random teacher called me to collect the attendance book did i snap awake. oops, but anyway,

main point is that, we should hold on tight, together.

(happiness, goals, dreams, laughter)

it's all but a hand's reach away.

okay time really seems to flyy nowadays. it's 3 days to the start of the first term of school!

-cue whooping (right)-

but it isn't really the first day of school. they call the 2 of Jan, WEEK 0. it's kinda sad isn't it, at least give it a name like 'preparation week' or 'pre-school week' or something that gives it more significance than WEEK 0. if it's of so little importance maybe we shouldn't go back to school then. lalala :D

okay anyway, in reference to rae neo the shining ray of light, we will go to school and STONE. which is true, now let us analyse the meaning of stone in 3/ 4 Diligence.

1. to looking deeply into space while the mind wanders to indescribable heights.

stoning means it is maths lesson, and we all do not understand/ alr understand/ don't want to understand what is being taught, and so we look at the whiteboard (or greenboard for that matter) and pretend we are listening but our thoughts have flownnnn away.

stoning could also mean it is the bio lessons we have, where slides are repeated over and over again because of too many queries. as such, we once again begin to lose sight of why we're having bio lessons and start thinking about the philosophies of life.

stoning could also take place during some chinese lessons, when digression takes its foothold in our classroom and the lesson transits from the Qing Dynasty to the Peking Duck to the ways of Torture in the Olden Times and further more to Current Affairs like 周杰伦 and 美国总统 etc etc, the list may never end.

stoning brings about new discoveries and boosts our morale for the next lesson, which very well could be maths, yet again.

of course, recently updated news include Index no.4 Foo XiYuan's exchange programme to France. where she will obviously satisfy the needs of her voyeuristic nature (possibly over the body of zidane.)

other news i've also received came as a choking shock during dance. (yes i almost choked) and as i flooded LIUCHENGCEN with questions i almost asphyxiated myself with my own tongue. a tragic death that'll be.

furthermore, i've come to the realisation that most of our scholars classmates have returned/ are returning soon to China. aw the sweet embrace after being separated from their homes for more than a year. may they not be too promiscuous and thereby bringing gossips about CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School's 3Diligence '08.

lately in dance i've also heard resident no.27 Sun XueCong murmuring something about missing a fellow resident (which i can conclude confident and upright it is Index no.12.) i also give my most sincere wishes to them and hopes that as they discover new aspects of each other, they will not indulge in debauchery.

as we continue our walk to the much anticipated olevels, let us do so hand in hand.
